Travel Beyond Texas: One Day in Nashville

Planning a trip to Music City, U.S.A.? We recently spent one whirlwind day in Nashville. Here are all the places we went!

Travel Beyond Texas: One Day in Nashville

Start with Brunch!

Start with brunch at The Nashville Jam Co. in Berry Hill where they serve THIS bronut – it’s a biscuit stuffed with cheesecake, batter dipped, fried, and topped with blueberry compote.

If you find yourself waiting for a table, pass the time by checking out the murals surrounding the East Iris Recording Studios. They are truly incredible and include a few of our local faves like Willie Nelson and Janis Joplin!

On a previous visit, we brunched at the popular beer garden Von Elrod’s. Check out the massive mimosa they serve!

Head to a Rooftop

Next up, enjoy a sunny day on one of the many rooftops in town. We chose White Limozeen at the Graduate hotel which is Dolly Parton themed! The decor is perfectly pink and makes for some great photo ops. There’s also a pool that you can book passes for via Resy. You should also plan to make a reservation for the restaurant/ bar.

Another option is L27 at the Westin Nashville. It’s one of the city’s tallest rooftop bars and offers stunning views of the city.

Shop on 12 South

There are all kinds of shops along 12 South but our fave is Draper James. Owned by celebrity superstar Reese Witherspoon, you will find a collection of southern inspired decor, clothing, accessories, and more.

There are also a bunch of photo ops located in this area, like the I Believe in Nashville mural.

Don’t Miss Broadway

You can’t got to Nashville and skip Broadway! If you’re really lucky, you can catch a show at the Ryman. After the show, pop into Robert’s Western World for some more tunes. Then, wander down the strip and visit a bar owned by one of country music’s biggest stars like Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, John Rich’s Redneck Riviera , Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, or Miranda Lambert’s Tex-Mex Bar and Cantina called Casa Rosa.

Have more time to spend in the city, check out these FREE things to do in Nashville.

Oh, and if you are a fan of the ABC series “Nashville” that starred Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, here are a bunch of the filming locations!
