Condé Nast Traveler recently announced the results of its 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and Austin’s own Kimpton Hotel Van Zandt landed in the number three spot for the top hotels in Texas. This nod is especially notable, since the boutique hotel has only been in operation for one year.
Hotel Van Zandt has impressed everyone from the Austin community to its visitors, as evidenced by its awards and popularity. Here are just a few reasons why:
Breathtakingly designed spaces that look like this:
And outdoor spaces that yield views like this:
Event spaces that make for the most memorable occasions:
Incredible food and drinks that look like this:
Their love for musicians (especially Texas musicians), as reflected in their name and beautiful details throughout the hotel:
And their love for Austin musicians, including bands, singer/songwriters, and DJs who fill a regular schedule at Geraldine’s, the hotel’s restaurant and music space. The hotel was the first to offer the role of Director of Music & Social Programming on their staff, which has shaped the character of the hotel in its debut year. The role has been so well fulfilled by Austinite Lauren Bucherie that it has influenced Kimpton as a whole, causing it to become a brand-wide role.
The Readers’ Choice Awards are announced in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler, on newsstands nationwide on October 25, 2016. In addition to Hotel Van Zandt, Austin’s JW Marriott was listed in the Reader’s Choice Top 10 at the #2 spot.
