The entire nation is facing high gas prices, but this local spot is doing something about it. East Austin brewery Blue Owl Brewing is making it known just how high gas prices really are right now by hosting Gas Pump Growler Fill Thursdays!
Every Thursday in June from 4 to 6 p.m. you can fill up a GALLON of beer cheaper than a gallon of gas. We stopped by this past Thursday to see it for ourselves, and lucky us, sours were $4.43 and non-sours were just $3.99 a gallon!
You can line up on the wall at the corner of East Cesar Chavez Street and Pedernales Street to grab your gallon of beer, head inside to soak up the A/C, or even grab a seat on their shaded patio.
