Here’s Where To Eat In (Or Near) The Austin Airport

Planning a getaway? Whether you’re traveling near or far, it’s always a good choice to leave (or arrive in) the city with a full stomach and happy heart. These eats in and around the Austin airport will help on both fronts!

Looking to stay healthy while traveling? Austin’s beloved JuiceLand now offers an airport location, allowing travelers to smoothie it up on the go. From their caffeinated percolator to the peanut butter-lover’s Wundershowzen, there’s sure to be something for everyone looking to get a nutritious fix on the go.


Hut’s Hamburgers

The 6th street location will soon be closing its stores, but locals and out-of-towners alike can still grab a burger or a cocktail at this classic locale before (or after) flying up and away.

Salt Lick

BBQ fans, this one’s for you. This Texas classic has been serving delicious eats since the 1960s, so it’s safe to say these tasty eats stand the test of time (and travel).

Peached Tortilla

Whether it’s a craving for a cocktail or creative dining, the airport location of Peached Tortilla will not disappoint. Many online call it the best of the best at Austin Bergstrom, and with all of the amazing choices, that’s most definitely something to taco ’bout.

Early risers, the acclaimed breakfast tacos at TacoDeli will be waiting for your rising and shining. The earlier the better – the line at their airport location gets long fast, but it’s rumored to be well worth the wait.

Vino Volo

One of the highest ranked spots at the airport, Vino Volo impresses with an amazing wine and craft brew selection, paired with snacks like avocado toast and brie + prosciutto sandwich. Talk about airport fare with some serious flair.

MAD Greens

Traveling light? Mad Greens mastered the art of healthy fast food back in 2004, and they’ll help keep those travels light with salads, wraps, smoothies, and grain bowls at their Austin Bergstrom location.

El Meson

Known as one of Austin’s most authentic taquerias, the Burleson road location of El Meson is located just a few minutes from the airport. Spice up the travel agenda with an enchilada or ten at this longtime and local favorite.

Live Oak Brewing Company
1615 Crozier Ln, Del Valle
It’s a known fact that traveling is better with a side of beer. Just a little over a stone’s throw away from the airport is Live Oak Brewing Company, a European style brewery and beer garden that hosts happy hours, special tappings and German comfort food.


The Brewer’s Table
4715 E. 5th Street
This 2018 restaurant of the year combines innovative eats (think roasted sweet potato dip, Akaushi beef tartare and toasted barley ice cream) and in-house brewing with exquisite ambiance. Those looking for a unique and delicious experience pre- or post-flight will not mind the 9 minute drive to this spot.


Jasmine’s Restaurant
2463 Hwy 71 E, Del Valle

Only a mile from the airport, this unassuming spot offers comfort food favorites such as huevos rancheros, mole enchiladas and, of course, frozen margaritas. Fresh, flavorful and authentic, this hidden gem is one to visit before and after traveling.
