Hut’s Hamburgers

The 6th street location will soon be closing its stores, but locals and out-of-towners alike can still grab a burger or a cocktail at this classic locale before (or after) flying up and away.

BBQ fans, this one’s for you. This Texas classic has been serving delicious eats since the 1960s, so it’s safe to say these tasty eats stand the test of time (and travel).

MAD Greens

El Meson

It’s a known fact that traveling is better with a side of beer. Just a little over a stone’s throw away from the airport is Live Oak Brewing Company, a European style brewery and beer garden that hosts happy hours, special tappings and German comfort food.

The Brewer’s Table

This 2018 restaurant of the year combines innovative eats (think roasted sweet potato dip, Akaushi beef tartare and toasted barley ice cream) and in-house brewing with exquisite ambiance. Those looking for a unique and delicious experience pre- or post-flight will not mind the 9 minute drive to this spot.

Jasmine’s Restaurant
2463 Hwy 71 E, Del Valle

Only a mile from the airport, this unassuming spot offers comfort food favorites such as huevos rancheros, mole enchiladas and, of course, frozen margaritas. Fresh, flavorful and authentic, this hidden gem is one to visit before and after traveling.
