Looking for ways to get out of the house while still practicing social distancing? What better way to do just that then by spending time at one of the many great parks Austin has to offer? We’re back this week with yet another great Austin park, Mueller Lake Park!

Due to the newest city regulations in regards to COVID-19 many of the parks in Austin are experiencing closures and reduced occupancy. Please visit Austin Parks and Recreations for the latest updates before you make plans to visit a park.

Mueller Lake Park
4550 Mueller Boulevard

Mueller Lake Park is located in Mueller, one of Austin’s newest thriving neighborhood. Located mere miles from Downtown this eco-conscious development has plenty to offer including ample green spaces like the 30-acre Lake Park.

Lake Park has everything from jogging trails, open-air amphitheater, an interactive playscape, public art, and a picnic peninsula! All set around the stunning 6.5-acre lake. The picnic peninsula is one of our favorite features at Lake Park. With a handful of food trucks it’s the perfect spot for a post walk coffee pick me up or to grab a picnic snack! The shaded picnic tables are currently unavailable for safety reasons but there are plenty of shaded spots for a picnic.

There is parking available on Mueller Central Drive which is FREE or at McBee Street District Garage or surrounding side streets for $1 an hour.

Don’t forget to bring along these items: water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and picnic supplies.

Please keep in mind that we’re still practicing social distancing and parks can get crowded at various times. Be prepared and be respectful of those around you.
