Summer is finally here and we know you’re looking for ways to get your family out of the house. What better way to do just that than by spending time at one of the best Austin parks? Every Monday this summer we’re highlighting an Austin park. This week, we’re taking you to Bauerle Ranch at Slaughter Creek Greenbelt

Due to the newest city regulations in regards to COVID-19 many of the parks in Austin are experiencing some closures and reduced occupancy. Please visit Austin Parks and Recreations for the latest updates before you make plans to visit a park.

This hidden gem is the perfect place for hiking, biking, and running. For the nature loving families it has it all. Located only 20 minutes out of downtown it’s a great spot for an outdoor adventure. Lots of deer and other animal sightings have been reported so keep that in mind if you’re taking a dog or your kids with you. We recommend a stop at Moontower Saloon afterward to refuel! They’re open and taking advantage for their large outdoor space to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Don’t forget to bring along these items: water, sunscreen, bug repellent, walking sticks, a leash for your dog, and snacks!

Please keep in mind that we’re still practicing social distancing and parks can get crowded at various times. Be prepared and be respectful of those around you.
