Let Stevie Ray Ease Your Anxiety Over This Terrifying Aerial View Of Austin’s Flood

As the worst case scenario for flooding in Austin played out yesterday, not everyone was taking shelter and huddling around newscasts.

One smart photographer, the owner of DLR Productions here in Austin, sent a drone up to survey the damage. And like any good Austinite should, this individual found a way to include Stevie Ray Vaughan in their finished product.

Somehow, “Texas Flood” is the only song that seems to ease our anxiety over what just happened. Give it a look (go fullscreen for HD):

Here's an aerial view of the #ATXFloods, with some Stevie Ray Vaughan to help it go down. Thanks to DLR Productions for this excellent video.

Just a reminder: Austin did not get the worst of these floods. Thousands have been displaced from nearby cities, and the Red Cross of Central and South Texas is in desperate need of volunteers. Sign up here if you want to make a difference in your community.
