ABC Kite Fest
The ABC Kite Fest is an Austin classic featuring a kite showcase and kite contest, MossFest children’s concert, High Flyer VIP club and more. The largest and longest-running festival of its kind, ABC Kite Fest returns to Zilker Park for its 98th year on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fest is FREE to attend thanks to the generous support of community sponsors and the City of Austin.
2026 City of Austin Career Expo
The City of Austin is hosting its 15th Annual Career Expo. Happening on Wednesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Palmer Events Center, the Career Expo is intended to help build a stronger community by providing opportunities for local employers to connect with talent to fill critical vacancies and help job seekers find that perfect job/career opportunity. Job Seekers will have opportunities to meet face-to-face with company representatives. Showcase presentations during the event will feature tips for job seekers. You are encouraged to bring copies of their resume.
2026 Austin Spring Makers, Artisans & Food Market
Celebrate spring in the heart of Texas at the 2026 Austin Spring Makers, Artisans & Food Market, happening April 10 through 12 each day from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This vibrant, open-air market brings together a dynamic mix of local makers, talented artisans, creative small businesses, and delicious food vendors for a weekend full of flavor, creativity, and community.
Hillfest 2026
Hillfest is St Edward’s annual celebration of our school spirit. With rides, carnival games, artists and a DJ, students always have fun! Get ready for an unforgettable evening filled with music, food, rides and fun at St. Edward’s University. Join on Friday, April 10 at 7 p.m. for a night to remember. Whether you’re a student, alumni, parent or friend, this event is perfect for anyone looking to have a great time.
5th Annual Mueller Eid Celebration
Mueller Neighborhood Association (MNA) is proud to present its 5th Annual Eid-ul-Fitr Celebration on April 11 at Branch Park Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free, family-friendly event features amazing local vendors, kid’s activities, henna and food. They’ll have story times as well for children.

Squirrel Fest
Pease Park Conservancy and Future Front Texas are teaming up for Squirrel Fest on April 11 from 4 to 10 p.m.! This event is a celebration of spring and is a day full of family-friendly fun, activities, music, food, drink! Participate in shows, engage with partner booths, and create memories at Austin’s first and oldest park. The event will end with a movie screening on the Great Lawn.
Books and Bees Festival
Join for Bee Cave’s 5th annual Books & Bees Festival at Bee Cave Public Library on Saturday, April 11 from 1 to 5 p.m.! As a hub of literacy for children and adults, our Bee Cave Public Library hosts programs year-round that serve hundreds of families in the area and beyond. As a Bee City USA affiliate, the City of Bee Cave is dedicated to educating the public and helping conserve this most important insect. This one-of-a-kind Books & Bees Festival helps accomplish our two missions – share fantastic literature with kids and adults alike, featuring high-profile, bestselling authors – and teach our residents and their kiddos more about bees! We have so many fun nature activities, live music, and author talks in store, you will not want to miss this FREE event!
Vista’s 8th Anniversary Party!
Vista is turning EIGHT on April 11 and they are celebrating all day long in Driftwood with beer (of course!), food specials, live music, partner pop-ups, new merch, sweet raffle prizes and more! RSVP ahead of time on Eventbrite to be entered into a raffle for a $50 Vista gift card.
Jackie Robinson Day – Hit, Pitch, Run
tep up to the plate! Join for the Jackie Robinson Pitch, Hit & Run program on April 15, from 6 to 8 p.m.! Show off your skills, have fun. The event is free but you must register. More info here.
Brew Paul’s Drag Show
Join for another installment of Brew Paul’s Drag Show on April 18 at Meanwhile Brewing! The queens will take the stage at 9 p.m. with TJ the DJ spinning all night! Seating is first come, first serve in front of the stage so arrive ahead of showtime to grab a spot. Blankets and camp chairs are welcome! This event is 18+.

Friends & Family Spring Festival
This no-cost outdoor event will have live music, yoga, games, food, and a variety of fun activities for all ages. There will be live music performances from Suzanna Choffel and Lou Priest Trio, a spoken Word Performance by Austin Poet Laureate Zell Miller III and more! Happening Saturday, April 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Windsor Branch of the Austin Public Library.
Children’s Art and Wonder Festival
Join for a morning where children take over the Terrazas Branch library to create, play and explore! They will have many community art experiences with a recycled paint wall, yarn wrapping a library pillar, and window art collage, STEM Play with light play, a wind tunnel, and a ball drop. Kids can also take part in an interactive improv show with Move Your Tale Improv! A baby corner will be provided. Happening Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
