Situated on the former site of Willie Nelson’s Austin Opry House, Hotel Magdalena pays homage to the city’s 1970s lake culture with its design and ambiance. The property features 89 rooms spread across four buildings, utilizing sustainable mass timber construction, making it the first boutique hotel of its kind in North America . Guests can enjoy amenities such as a 900-square-foot sunken swimming pool, the full-service restaurant Summer House on Music Lane, and the vinyl-focused Equipment Room bar. The hotel’s design emphasizes indoor-outdoor living, with open-air corridors, private terraces, and landscaping that incorporates native Texas flora.
