
Ezov
Ezov is a Mediterranean restaurant in East Austin that’s part of the Emmer & Rye Hospitality Group. Led by Executive Chef Berty Richter, the restaurant brings a taste of Eastern Mediterranean cuisine to Austin. The name, “Ezov,” is the Hebrew word for the herb hyssop, reflecting its culinary inspiration.
About Ezov
The menu at Ezov is designed for sharing and features a variety of small and large plates. Popular small plates include smashed cucumber with smoked labneh and amba sauce, falafel served with spicy green schug, and creamy hummus accompanied by frena, a thicker version of pita bread, and lamb butter. For larger plates, standout dishes are the lightly breaded and fried tilefish served with fresh greens and radishes, as well as the chicken shawarma presented on a personal spit for carving at the table.


Ezov’s ambiance is vibrant and modern, with decor elements such as graffiti motifs featuring Hebrew lyrics and unique light fixtures that contribute to an energetic atmosphere.
