Butler Metro Park

When the temps are just right, we know you’re looking for ways to get your family out of the house. What better way to do just that than by spending time at one of the best Austin parks? One of the best is Butler Metro Park.

The park has many unique features including an observation hill overlooking Lady Bird Lake, a children’s garden, meadow, and the Liz Carpenter Splash Pad. It’s the perfect place to take a hike or ride a bike followed by a picnic set the backdrop of the breathtaking Austin skyline. Plus, it’s family friendly as well as dog friendly, not to mention a great photography spot!

There’s also a wonderful children’s garden. The park’s Alliance Children’s Garden includes a bell piano, lawn chess, table tennis (bring your own paddles and ball), and an incredible playscape.
