Lots of things are weird in Austin, and the weather is definitely one of them. KXAN’s Jim Spencer gives a little lesson in meteorology and Austin’s weird weather patterns.
Some of the highlights of this winter in Austin include: the second warmest low winter temperature in recorded history, a dramatic drop in the number of morning freezes from the average, and data that this was the 6th warmest winter ever on record.
These are probably not the types of records that Austin wants to be breaking, especially as NASA recently released a study showing that 2015 had record-shattering warm temperatures across the globe.
