IDEA Lab Kids

IDEA Lab Kids is the most exciting STEM Camp option out there! What started with a rented space in the back of a recreation center has blossomed into the best STEM Camp in Austin as voted on by the readers of the Austin Family Magazine. With a main campus practically full, they are now expanding to South Austin at the St. Austin Catholic School (800 Herndon Lane). More info here.

Kids Acting Studio

Austin’s favorite theater camp for kids is ready to see you in person or virtually this summer. Imagination takes the stage this year and you are the STAR! Each camp ends with a fabulous show for family and friends. 17+ locations throughout Austin, plus virtual. Get more info here.

Neuron Garage

Neuron Garage, a weekly summer building camp, lets your child get hands-ons, repurposing their recycling to solve weekly engineering challenges. Through the process, they have fun, make new friends, and develop a growth mindset, putting them on a path to successfully tackle the big challenges of tomorrow.

Each week features a different challenge and gives campers (ages 5 through 12) the opportunity to learn and practice the Neuron Garage Think > Build > Learn framework – simple enough for children to learn and powerful enough to last a lifetime. Weekly sessions happen June 6 through August 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended hours until 6 p.m. Unlock your child’s potential this summer. Enroll today to build for a week, or the whole summer! Details here.

Sportball

Classes and camps are so much fun with Sportball, where children can develop the skills and confidence to get in the game of basketball, soccer, baseball, volleyball, football, hockey, tennis, and golf! Their highly trained coaches break down skills into kid-sized bites of fun that promote the fundamentals and encourage teamwork. Children ages 3 to 9-years-old participate in two sports per day at camp. Older ages work toward playing real game scrimmages! You can learn more here.

The Musicians Woodshed

Campers will enjoy daily music instruction on a variety of instruments. Fun activities including crafts, indoor/outdoor games, karaoke, team challenges, and more! Find full camp details here.

Dancers Workshop

Put on your favorite dress up and join Dancers Workshop for a week of dance, crafts, and fun. Throughout the week dancers will learn a show for family and friends on the last day of camp. There will also be a surprise visit from a real princess! No previous dance experience is needed. Camp themes include weeks: Princess, Fiesta with Mirabel, Mermaids, Ice Princess, and more. Brandy Perryman Shooting Camp

BPSC is a four day shooting intense basketball camp mirrored after all the camps Brandy Perryman attended and enjoyed the most as a kid. He has taken those camps with his combined playing experience at UT and created an upbeat, positive experience for Austin area youth. All camps include 32 hours of instruction, which is approximately the same amount of time as a month of practice in middle school or a full season of a youth league. Daily team competitions are the highlight of the week, allowing kids to be a part of a team with no pressure and to have fun. An average camper shoots over 1,000 shots over 4 days at BPSC. The 10:1 camper to coach ratio allows campers to develop skills in a small group. These coaches include head coaches, assistant coaches, collegiates, and former players that all share the knowledge and enthusiasm required to be a BPSC camp instructor. Learn even more here.

Steve & Kate’s Camp

Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s has put kids in charge. Campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including sewing, coding, film, sports, and more! Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time. If your plans change, we’ll automatically refund any unused Passes in full at summer’s end. Lunch and snacks included. Get more info here.

Creative Action

Since 2007, families have made Creative Action Summer Camp their top choice when it comes to getting their kids creative. This summer, their full-day camps are offered in four convenient locations around greater Austin. Campers ages 5 to 7 will get hands-on in their one-week camps with all kinds of art forms while building friendships and teamwork skills with fellow campers. Those ages 8 to 11 will experience two-week academies as they work closely with professional teaching artists to develop new skills and take on new artistic challenges. More detail here.
