It’s so nice to be celebrating a musician for another orbit around the sun, especially when it’s someone so near and dear to us. Obviously Austin is quite taken with Willie Nelson, what with the murals, statues, and streets named after him. And what’s not to love about a smooth-voiced, weed smoking, rebel cowboy? To honor his 88th birthday we put together a playlist of some of our favorite Willie songs.
In February, Willie released his seventy-first solo studio album. Titled “That’s Life,” it’s a tribute to Frank Sinatra and is the second volume of Nelson’s Sinatra collection, following 2018’s “My Way.”
So shotgun a Lone Star and smoke ‘em if you got ‘em — it’s time to celebrate our favorite Red Head!
