Need a day off? Who doesn’t?! We know you don’t always have time for a true getaway, especially if you’re just looking for some solo time. That’s why we set out to find the best Austin spas where you can relax, refresh, and be treated like a queen – or king, whichever you prefer.

Here Are Five Austin Spas Perfect For a Day of Pampering

Life in Balance Spa at Miraval Austin

If you’re looking to really unplug then Miraval is the place for you! The mission here is to create a life in balance by offering a complete retreat for the mind, body, and soul. In addition to an amazing spa, overnight accommodations, and two gorgeous pools, Miraval Austin offers complete wellness options like yoga, sound baths, mediations, culinary and nutrition classes, hiking, and so much more!

But let’s talk about the spa and what we love most about an experience here. Miraval is our favorite of the Austin spas overall. As previously mentioned, this is a place where you can truly unplug. In fact, digital devices are discouraged and not even allowed in certain areas of the tranquil retreat. In addition to numerous massages, body renewal rituals, and skin care treatments, you’ll have access to a quiet room, steam room, sauna, hot tub, and serenity pool.

Price: Relax & Renew Day Packages offered in February for $540. In March through May, they are priced at $588. You can receive 10% off if you book a Monday through Thursday. Day passes include a $250 resort credit per person that can be applied to a spa treatment. Other benefits include complimentary smoothies and coffee, gourmet lunch, welcome tote bag and reusable Miraval water bottle, and unlimited participation in select daily yoga, meditation, fitness classes, and wellness lectures.

Location: Miraval Austin, 13500 FM 2769, Austin

Mokara Spa at Omni Barton Creek

If you’re looking for a simpler day spa experience where you don’t have to purchase a package nor commit a full day, we suggest Mokara Spa at Omni Barton Creek. The largest of the Austin spas on this list, Mokara Spa offers Austin-inspired signature treatments and salon services, as well as a steam room, sauna, hot tub, cafe, and private pool.

The private rooftop pool makes this spa a fave for a getaway with the gals. Offered to spa guests only, the pool is heated year-round and is heated to 90 °F in cooler months. Additionally, this is the only locale on the list with a cafe located inside the spa – though you also have the option to grab dinner and/ or drinks after your relaxing day at one of seven signature restaurants and lounges on hotel grounds.

Price: Both facials and massages start around $200. See the full pricing menu here. If you’re interested in simply using the amenities, day passes are offered for $75. Details here.

Location: Mokara Spa at Omni Barton Creek, 8212 Barton Club Drive, Austin

Fairmont Spa Austin

If you’re looking for something more central, we suggest the spa at Fairmont Austin. Enjoy a serene space to sit a spell and listen to your body while surrounded by the spirited energy of downtown Austin. With nine treatment rooms including two VIP couples suites and lavishly appointed solariums, you’ll be treated to floor to ceiling views of the Austin skyline. Each solarium showcases a saline soaking pool, eucalyptus steam grotto, and European dry heat sauna.

Fairmont Spa Austin offers a variety of massages, facials, and nail services. Following your service, enjoy a soak in their gorgeous tub overlooking the Austin skyline. If interested, you can also purchase a day pass to use the Fairmont’s rooftop pool and hot tub. Be sure to peruse the shop on your way out. You’ll find many local items, like body oils from Olive + M.

Price: Massages and Facials start at $185. Pool day passes are $50 and nail services start at $55.

Spa Viata

Inspired by Italy and influenced by Austin, the exceptional spa experience at Spa Viata will leave you feeling revitalized in body and mind. We love the wide variety of services offered at this locale. Situated on Capitol of Texas Highway at the edge of Hill Country, they offer wraps, detoxes, scrubs, Himalayan stone massage, and more. Our personal fave is “The Viata” full-body treatment. It’s a combination of customized massage techniques that pamper sore muscles while the calming powers of lavender, rock rose, and helichrysium gently take you deeper into a state of complete relaxation. This 80-minute indulgent experience includes aromatic hot towels and a foot scrub infused with rose essence.

The spa also features a designated couple’s suite as well as a private spa suite complete with a hydrotherapy tub and experiential rain shower. Following your service, spa guests are invited to enjoy the renovated pool deck with an outdoor fireplace and poolside cafe (check for days and hours of operation).

Price: Body treatments start at $225, full facials and massages at $175. The aforementioned Viata treatment is priced at $260.
