When interviewing celebrities during SXSW, our favorite thing to ask about is, you guessed it, Austin. Those conversations almost always include a discussion about the ATX food scene. From red carpet interviews to random run-ins, and even comments we see elsewhere online, we’re always ready to get the scoop on what everybody loves most about Austin.

Here’s where your favorite celebs ate in Austin during SXSW (and other things they love about the ATX)!

Walton Goggins

At the Prime Video Fallout event at Hotel San Jose, Goggins told us he loves hangin’ and honky tonkin’ at places like Shangri-La and The Broken Spoke. He also enjoys dining at Justine’s.

Jon Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi said he likes the eclectic feel of Austin, which he calls the most progressive city in Texas. The night before his documentary’s premiere, he and the band dined at Three Forks.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The prince and duchess had a date night at Soho House on South Congress the day they arrived in Austin. Following her SXSW panel on breaking barriers, they dined at La Barbecue.

Anne Hathaway

The night before the premiere of the film The Idea of You, Hathaway and her family ate dinner at The Statesman on West 6th Street.

Brooke Shields

The legendary actress dined at Sushi Roku on 4th Street. Barbie Ferriera, John Leguizamo and French Stewart all ate there as well while in town for the fest.

Jean Smart

The “Hacks” star was spotted at Rain on 4th Street, as was Issa Rae (who also grabbed a cocktail at Here Nor There).

Office Space Cast

Following their reunion panel, the stars of Office Space dined at The Statesman on West 6th. Cast members David Herman, Ron Livingston, Ajay Naidu, Todd Duffy, Stephen Root, and director Mike Judge were all in attendance.

Paul Scheer

On the red carpet for The Gutter, Scheer told us that every time he comes to Austin he is given a new barbecue recommendation. On this visit, he dined at Terry Blacks.

D’Arcy Carden

Carden has been to Austin many times over the years. On The Gutter red carpet she told us one of her favorite places to go in the ATX is Uchi.

Cheech and Chong

Following the premiere of their documentary, Cheech and Chong made a surprise appearance at C-Boys. Although it was only a five minute performance, the memories they gave the crowd will last forever.
