Traveling Around Texas Just Got A Whole Lot Easier By Taking To The Sky

Getting from one big Texas city to the next has been a topic of conversation among Lone Star state transportation companies in the past few years. Recently a new bus company called Shofur, a ground transportation company who will operate buses in major cities in Texas in a format similar to Uber, has begun making the long trips to some of the state’s cities a whole lot easier. Following their lead, Austin-based Envi Adventures is taking to the sky to get Austinites to their destinations even faster.

Envi Adventures will be partnering with Tower Aviation to offer private flights from Austin to Dallas, beginning on October 14th. Flights will take off from Monday to Thursday, flying from Austin Executive Airport in Pflugerville, and traveling to Love Field in Dallas. Hobby Airport in Houston will also be a stop on the company’s route as well.

Service will be based on demand with tickets costing $249. Corey Rust, founder and president of Envi Adventures, spoke to The Austin Business Journal about these new travel options, saying: “While we realize that this service is not necessarily suitable for everybody, we are very excited to offer additional travel options to people without exclusivity in these three great Texas cities. A booming economy and increasing demand for something different in air travel makes it possible for us to enter the market now.”

With this exclusive way of traveling comes more perks, such as complimentary food and drinks. Of course, the biggest perk is that the company is doing away with security and luggage checks. While this expensive option won’t work for everyone, at least our city now has more transit heft accessible for when we need to get out and see what else Texas has to offer.
