  1. Community Night – Wednesday, June 3 from 4-8:00 p.m. At the Thinkery, science and families play side by side. Every Wednesday the museum stays open late for families to discover new ideas and learn together. GoodPop will be at the Thinkery during Community Night giving away popsicles as they celebrate the installation of the giant popsicle sculpture at the Thinkery for Summer 2015. Cost: Admission is by donation only, with a suggested $1 donation. The Thinkery, 1830 Simond Ave, Austin.
  2. Sound & Cinema – Wednesday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. Sound & Cinema 2015 features unique pairings of classic movies with a diverse array of local musical guests. Each band plays a musical tribute to the night’s movie, followed by a screening of the film on the Alamo’s giant inflatable outdoor screen – all against the backdrop of the Austin skyline. This week, watch Weekend at Bernie’s with music by Don Chani and Cecil Frances. Rated PG-13. The sunset concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. The movie will immediately follow (around 9:00 p.m., or right after sunset). FREE! Long Center, 701 W Riverside Dr, Austin.
  3. 101X Summer Cinema Series – Wednesday, June 3 at 8:30 p.m. The 10th annual 101X Summer Cinema Series kicks off with the ’90s classic Empire Records. Rated PG-13. Movie starts at dusk. FREE! Central Market, 4001 N Lamar Blvd, Austin. Update: This event has been moved to June 17!
  4. Blues on the Green – Wednesday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. KGSR’s Blues on the Green returns to Zilker Park with FREE, live music. Take your blankets or lawn chairs and join in the fun. This week, it’s the Official Antone’s 40th Anniversary Celebration hosted by Jimmie Vaughan. Zilker Park (east end where Lou Neff Road wraps around), 2100 Barton Springs Rd, Austin.

Movies in the Park: The NeverEnding Story – Thursday, June 4 at 8:30 p.m. Movies in the Park is a series of free films brought to you by the Austin Parks Foundation, and presented by the #1 movie theater in America, the Alamo Drafthouse. Dogs, picnics, and lawn chairs are welcome. Rated PG. FREE! Dick Nichols Park, 8011 Beckett Rd, Austin.
