Matthew McConaughey is making sure fans are clear on his feelings about the quarantine. The Minister of Culture posted a new high-quality video to Instagram captioned, “war with a virus #stayhome.”
The video features footage of health care workers and first responders vigilantly fighting the epidemic. “We are at war with a virus,” he states via voice over, “and healthcare troops and first responders are on the frontline fighting it every day. Let’s join the fight by staying home.”
The City of Austin has temporarily banned public gatherings. Please stay home. The Austin.com calendar is only for live digital events at this time.
He goes on to say that staying home is the most brave and aggressive weapon we have against this enemy.
“Because when we do stay at home,” McConaughey continues. “We help prevent overwhelming our hospitals while buying time for our scientists to find the vaccine. And that is how we beat it.”
Previously, the Oscar winner had posted what appear to be raw videos where he talks directly to the camera about the importance of being homebound.
