Willie Nelson’s annual music event will go on, despite the COVID-19 outbreak!
Organizers of Luck Reunion announced that an online concert called “Til Further Notice” will be held on Thursday in absence of the traditional Texas reunion. The free broadcast will feature call-in sets shot live by the artists themselves from the comfort of their own homes, which means Willie and Lukas will be performing from Luck Ranch (based on this Instagram post).
The City of Austin has temporarily banned public gatherings. Please stay home. The Austin.com calendar is only for live digital events at this time.
Confirmed acts include Willie Nelson, Paul Simon, Edie Brickell, Lukas Nelson, Micah Nelson, Lucinda Williams, Jewel, Nathaniel Rateliff, Paul Cauthen, Margo Price, Lucious, and many more. While the majority of acts are performing at their homes, a small number of local Austin acts will be broadcasting from Arlyn Studios right here in the ATX. The evening will be hosted by Asleep at the Wheel frontman Ray Benson.
The show is free but fans watching online can contribute to a digital tip jar. Tip donations raised will be divided equally among all performers. Artists have the option to donate the tips to a charity or fellow performer in need.
It all starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 19.
Fans can tune in on luckreunion.com, Twitch, or Facebook.
