Here’s How Lustre Pearl Denver Compares to Austin

Not only are there three Lustre Pearl locations in Austin but they also have a spot in the heart of one of Denver’s hottest neighborhoods River North!

If you’ve been to the South Austin bar, you may have noticed this sign post that points to their Denver location (amongst other things).

We decided that a trip to Denver was in order and our first stop was Lustre Pearl. From the decor to the drinks to the casual atmosphere and friendly staff, Lustre Pearl Denver is just what we needed to kick off our trip. Though it doesn’t have a sprawling backyard, the bar stays true to the laid back Lustre attitude. Their drink menu includes many of the Austin bar faves including a Rainey Street Mule and the Matthew Pecanaughey!

In case you aren’t aware of the company’s story, here’s a bit about how the franchise came to be.

Lustre Pearl first opened on Rainey Street in 2009, establishing it as the first bar to occupy Rainey Street. Soon to follow on Rainey were more bars from the owner company DunlapATX: Clive Bar, Container Bar, and Bar96.

Though the original Lustre Pearl locale no longer exists (Camden Rainey stands in its place), a newer location on Rainey Street does, as well as an all-new renovated and upgraded Clive Bar. In the past few years, the company has expanded to include Lustre Pearl locations on South Menchaca, Linden Street in East Austin, and the Denver bar in the Rino district.
