If you’re feeling land locked and missing those local lobster shacks and the catch of the day joints you can find at the beach, we’ve got a fix for you! Garbo’s Lobster has opened yet another location and it is as tasty as ever! Located in Dripping Springs off Highway 290, the new spot offers classic dishes like the Connecticut-style Lobster Roll and Beer Battered Fish & Chips and so much more. They even have a most excellent kids menu. Read on to see everything we tried!
Restaurant Recommendation: Garbo’s Lobster Dripping Springs
What We Ate:
- Connecticut Roll ($32) – Butter poached Maine lobster topped with Garbo’s house seasoning, fresh lemon juice & scallions in a New England top-split bun (we added 7g Caviar for $18).
- Seafood Tower ($65) – The tower includes a mix of prawns, lobster and oysters.
- Bubbles & Bump ($18) – A glass of sparkling wine served with a bump of Garbo’s Signature Caviar.
- Mozzarella & Lobster Bites ($19) – Heavenly fried balls of mozzarella, lobster, and shrimp, served with Caribbean aioli.
- Brussel Sprouts ($10) – Sprouts topped with soy lime vinaigrette and crispy shallots.
- Lobster Mac & Cheese ($28) – Butter poached Maine lobster, cheddar, parmesan, gruyere and gouda cheeses, topped with breadcrumbs and crispy bacon.
- Lobster Grilled Cheese ($30) – Butter-poached Maine lobster, white cheddar, smoked gouda, bacon and roasted cherry tomatoes melted in sourdough bread.
Our personal favorites were the mozzarella and lobster bites, lobster mac and cheese, and bubbles & a bump. Actually, any chance we had to have caviar, we were all about it!
Garbo’s Kids Menu
As mentioned, they also have yummy kid’s menu options like mozzarella sticks ($12), fish & chips ($14), mac & cheese ($10), cheese burger ($14), and grilled cheese ($7).
To sweeten the Garbo’s experience, there’s also a Connor’s Creamery on site.
