If you’ve been following along with our adventures, you know we love all the towns around Austin. In fact, we highlighted some of our favorite Central Texas towns right here. That list includes New Braunfels. Founded by German settlers in 1845, New Braunfels is overflowing with old world heritage and small-town Texas charm. It’s home to Texas’ oldest bakery, oldest dance hall, and Wurstfest, an annual 10-day festival dedicated to beer, brats, and all-around good times!
