Everything We Know About SXSW 2024 So Far


It’s that time of year again: South By Southwest is happening March 8 to 16, 2024. The 10 day interactive, music, and film festival is getting ready to take over Austin again. The festival has done nothing but grow since it first started in 1987 and while some locals love it, others hate it. If you hate it, this article isn’t for you. Try this one! For those of you who are excited to see what the festival has in store this year, here’s a look at everything we know so far.

Cheech & Chong’s Last Movie – The first ever fully authorized Cheech & Chong documentary takes you on a poignant and hilarious journey into the lives and partnership of one of the greatest comic duos of all time.

Shaking It Up: The Life and Times of Liz Carpenter –  A documentary about Liz Carpenter; writer, feminist, reporter, media advisor, speechwriter, political humorist, public relations expert and Texan.


The festival has always been a great place for seeing the bands you love and discovering new music. With over 350 showcasing artists announced, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

  • South by San Jose will celebrate their 25th anniversary.
  • Amazon is also returning to South Congress this year.
  • SPIN Magazine is hosting a party at STUBB’s.
  • SoCo Stomp is returning for its second year. It’s five days of FREE live music in the C-Boys Heart & Soul parking lot.
  • Porsche is confirmed back for year two with their Collaborations Unseen activation.
  • REDDIT x SXSW 2024 is happening weekend onw at Two Hands on South Congress.
  • Both Inc. Founders House and Fast Company return to their usual locales on Brazos Street.
