Deep Eddy Vodka made big news last year when it was bought out by Kentucky company Heaven Hill Brands last year; luckily for Central Texas vodka lovers, its operations, along with 95 employees, remain in the Austin area. One of those 95 employees, former Chief Financial Officer of Deep Eddy Vodka John Scarborough, has recently been promoted to the role President of the company, reports Austin Business Journal. Former President Eric Dopkins has recently founded a beverage startup named Milestone Brands LLC.
Deep Eddy has made big fans across Austin and the country with its variety of flavored vodka brands including sweet tea, ruby red grapefruit, lemonade, and its latest flavor, peach. According to the ABJ story, “Deep Eddy ships 700,000 cases of its spirits annually, making it one of the fastest-growing distilled spirit brands in the nation and tops among vodkas, according to market research firm IRI Worldwide.”
