Celebrate The Paris Olympics With These Austin Desserts

There is still over a week left of the Paris Olympics and plenty of action still to come. Planning a get together to watch your favorite event? Or, perhaps you just want to feel a little Parisian while you watch. We’ve rounded up some of the best French desserts you can find in Austin to make your viewing experience c’est magnifique!

Celebrate the Paris Olympics with these Austin desserts!

Foliepops Tartelettes

Originally hailing from France, Foliepop Chef Kevin D’Andrea gained recognition as a contestant on both Top Chef France and season 21 of Top Chef here in the US. Most recently, he hosted a series called Breaking Baguettes where he welcomed Olympians into his kitchen here in Austin to prep different French dishes ahead of the games. You can watch all episodes on Peacock. More importantly, you can try his tartelettes for yourself! Simply search the store locator to find them at an H-E-B near you.

La Patisserie Macarons

If you’re a fan of macarons then you need to head over to La Patisserie. They deserve a medal for their macarons and other French pastries. Head over to either their North or South Austin locations and take your tastebuds on a Parisian vacation.

Beignets at Cafe Baguette et Chocolat

You’ll find authentic French artisan baked goods and fine pastry at this Bee Cave cafe. From crepes to croissants to éclairs, macarons and more, you’ll find it all at Cafe Baguette et Chocolat. Everything is made and baked daily so get there early to ensure they have what you want. Our fave is the mini beignets. They offer three fillings and each one is better than the other. Flavors include homemade raspberry jam, chocolate pastry creme, and Nutella.

Looking for somewhere to watch the Olympics with fellow fans? Here are some recommendations.
