Free Splash Pads in Austin 

The City of Austin operates 11 splash pads, all of which are free! These splash pads do, however, frequently close for repairs. To see a list of current closures, visit the Austin Parks and Recreation website. Bailey Park

Clarksville Splash Pad

Dick Nichols District Park

Dick Nichols District Park 8011 Beckett Rd.
There is a small kids’ waterscape with a dolphin that spits water. Kids press a button for about a minute of water play. There is also an amazing playground, volleyball courts, and hike and bike trails to explore. Starting in June, the Dick Nichols Pool will also be open (admission is free).

Eastwoods Park

The Triangle

The Triangle 4700 N. Lamar Blvd.
The park at The Triangle offers a fountain for children to play in. Adults enjoy shopping at the Austin Farmers’ Market on Wednesdays from 3-7:00 p.m. The fountain is not always turned on and there is no set operating schedule. This splash pad is not maintained by the City of Austin. It is located near a playground.

Splash Pad in Bastrop

Fisherman’s Park Splash Pad in Bastrop

Fisherman’s Park 1200 Willow St., Bastrop.
Operates 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until September 3, 2018. (Review)

Splash Pad in Bee Cave

Hill Country Galleria

Hill Country Galleria 12700 Hill Country Blvd., Bee Cave.
This fun, interactive fountain operates seven days a week during mall hours but is turned off when the weather is bad or when another event is scheduled to take place in the amphitheater. Call Guest Services at (512) 263-0001 to confirm that the interactive fountain is turned on before heading over there. (Photos)

Splash Pads in Cedar Park

Brushy Creek Lake Park

Water Playscape at Brushy Creek Park 3300 Brushy Creek Rd., Cedar Park.
The water playscape operates daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is open daily from May through August and on weekends only in September. There is no staying dry at this playscape, with jets gushing water from below and pipes spraying water from above. There is a shaded playground and restrooms, as well as plenty of nearby picnic tables. (Review)

Champion Park

Champion Park 3830 Brushy Creek Rd., Cedar Park.
Kids can run through a blue whale skeleton and get sprayed by water. There is also a fun bubbler to play in. The sprinkler park operates May 26 – September 3, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. Don’t miss digging for dino bones in the nearby shaded sand box. Restrooms are located near the parking lot. (Review)

Splash Pads in Georgetown

Downtown Splash Pad

Downtown Splash Pad 816 S. Main St., Georgetown.
Located next to the Art Center, the Downtown Splash Pad is a beautiful brick courtyard with water jets erupting from the ground. The splash pad operates from April 1 – September 30, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

San Jose Splash Pad

San Jose Splash Pad 1707 San Jose St., Georgetown.
The 1,656 square-foot splash pad has 15 spray features, including a spray archway called a Super Soaker, a shower tunnel that sprays water in an archway from the ground, a T-shaped pole that spins and sprays called a Storm Spinner, popcorn jets that shoot water from the ground, and a post that sprays water in a bell shape. The splash pad operates from April 1 – September 30, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Review)

Splash Pad in Leander

Robin Bledsoe Park

Water Playscape at Robin Bledsoe Park 601 S. Bagdad Rd., Leander.
May 1 – September 30, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. This fun splash park features water guns and buckets that dump water on unsuspecting heads. It is fully enclosed, with a gate. There are restrooms and a playground close by.

The Quarry

Quarry Splash Pad 3005 County Road 175, Leander.
May 19 – September 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily. Admission is $2 per person (bring cash). (Review)

Splash Pads in Pflugerville

Falcon Pointe Splash Park

Falcon Pointe Splash Park 1813 Tranquility Ln., Pflugerville.
May 1 – October 1, 2018, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, weather permitting. This splash pad is kid-powered, requiring kids to push a button to activate the water. After the button has been pressed, the water will remain on for 90 seconds. (Photos)

Northeast Metropolitan Park

Northeast Metropolitan Park 2703 E. Pecan St., Pflugerville.
May 1 – September 30, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily. The water is on at this new water play area, located at the far end of the park, behind the skate park. The water can be turned on by the push of a button. There is also a shaded sand pit, rock climbing wall, swings, and plenty of picnic tables nearby. Restrooms are located next to the water play area. Splash Pad in Round Rock

Main Street Plaza

Main Street Plaza 221 E. Main St., Round Rock.
The Main Street Plaza Water Fountain is generally operational from 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 7:30-11:00 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Fountain may be closed during some holidays and special events that take place in Prete Plaza. The water is also turned off on occasion for maintenance or in the event of poor weather.
