When we received an email with the subject “The 50 Most Barbecue Obsessed Cities in the U.S.” we thought surely a Texas town tops the list. Perhaps it wouldn’t be Austin but we expected somewhere nearby to top the list – or at least somewhere in Texas.
We were wrong. Apparently, the most barbecue obsessed city in America is Atlanta. Yep, the capitol of Georgia is apparently the most barbecue obsessed.
Austin ranks ninth while the only Texas town that ranks higher is Arlington at sixth.

The other Texas cities who ranked are Fort Worth at #13, Dallas at #15, Houston at #13, San Antonio at #37, and El Paso at #43.
