Stop anyone on the street in Bastrop County and ask where to get the best breakfast and they will send you to Maxine’s. They offer lunch and dinner too, their menu is chock full of Texas favorites, including pie! Seriously you can’t go wrong! Another great places to grab a meal is Neighbor’s Kitchen and Yard! With good food, drinks, and live music all nestled river front this is your must-stop in Bastrop!
Texans really love their beer, especially local. Bastrop Beer Company is no different. It’s a craft beer and bottle shop, they have 28 beers on tap in addition to can options. They even have arcade games! In the mood for more beer? Hit up 602 Brewing Company. But if you’re looking for a place to grab a drink with more variety, head over to Old Town Restaurant and Bar. Old Town looks and feels like a bar in a movie. It’s located right in the heart of Downtown Bastrop with the added bonus of being inside a historic building.
