HEB Austin Symphony July 4th Concert and Fireworks

Spend this Independence Day with your family and friends, decked out in red, white and blue. Head down to Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores) this July 4th for an amazing event complete with a fireworks display over the city skyline backed by symphonic patriotic classics.

Tuesday Trivia at St. Elmo

Late at the Lake

Late at the Lake is Austin’s weekday beacon for professional local & touring musicians down to avid enthusiasts with a song or word to share. Anywhere from 25-40 of Austin’s finest singer-songwriters, poets, and professional musicians make their way to our deck to mutually encourage and inspire one another – and the rest of us!

Banned Camp for Teens: How Students Can Get Involved
Wednesday, July 6th | From 2 to 3 p.m. | Austin Central Library, 710 West Cesar Chavez

Teens 13-18 will hear from other teens who have taken action to defend books from censorship. A great way for teens to get involved.

Movie Night: Top Gun

Come watch the classic we all know and love for FREE at Central Machine Works!

Drive-In Movie
Thursday, July 7th | From 2 to 3:30 p.m. | Bee Cave Public Library, 4000 Galleria Parkway, Bee Cave

Transform a cardboard box into a set of wheels at home and bring it to the library’s drive-in movie. The library will have a few extra boxes* you can decorate before the movie starts.  Sit inside your “car” and enjoy popcorn, juice, and An American Tail: Fievel Goes West.

Green Thumbs Up: All About Succulents
Thursday, July 7th | From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. | Round Rock Public Library, 216 East Main Street, Round Rock

This program will give you lots of useful information about growing succulents so you can have a beautiful garden of your own!

Jeska and the Vanity Project at The Drop-In

Inspired by Austin’s love of outdoor jams, we’re bringing back this free outdoor concert series. We’ll provide the tunes, the drinks, and the view. You bring the energy, and we’ll vibe all summer long on the Hartman Concert Lawn.

Take and Make: Paint-Your-Pet Art Show

Come grab a canvas and paint a small portrait of your beloved pet! Return the canvas to the library and your artwork will be on display the whole month on the 1st floor!

Flick Friday: Sing 2
Friday, July 8th | From 7:30 to 10 p.m. | Waterloo Greenway, 1111 Red River Street

Spend a night under the stars enjoying the beloved movie Sing 2 and exploring the beauty of Waterloo Park, with audience contests, live music, and family-friendly activities.  Screenings begin at sunset.
