Dia De Los Muertos Mask Painting, Tuesday, October 28, 3-7 p.m., SFC Farmers’ Market East. Bring the kids out to the SFC Farmers’ Market East for Dia de los Muertos mask painting. Discovery! Dia de los Muertos, Tuesday, October 28, 4:30 p.m., Laura’s Library. Why is Day of the Dead called a “Celebration of Life”? Come learn from Ann Benson of Somos Amigos. You will dance like a crazy skeleton; play rhythm sticks and maracas; experience the mystery of life through a video about a girl who finds herself in a strange but beautiful new world; decorate a cool wooden spoon skull Calavera to take home; and snack on some delicioso Day of the Dead sweet bread. Biscuit Brothers Halloween Party Open House, Wednesday, October 29, 10-11:30 a.m., Fine Arts Farm. The Biscuit Brothers Fine Arts Farm is now open, offering classes, camps and workshops for all ages. IKEA Spooky Scavenger Hunt, Friday, October 31, 4-6 p.m., IKEA. Bring the little ones for Halloween fun. Pick up a Halloween Scavenger Hunt sheet at the front entrance. The clues you need to solve the puzzle are located throughout the store. Prizes and surprises will be waiting for you as you go. Halloween Hootenanny, Friday, October 31, 6-8:30 p.m., Thinkery. Join the Thinkery for Austin’s best family-friendly Halloween party.
