There really isn’t a wrong or right way to ring in the New Year in Austin. Every bar, club, hotel, and rooftop does an NYE takeover. This year, we want to make it easier to find the best celebration for you. So we put together this list of the best-of-the-best events happening on the last day of the year, broken down by admission price.

New Year’s Eve Events Under $50

Rockin’ NYE Party | Lavaca Rock Rose | $10
Avoid the city crowds with Lavaca Rock Rose’s Rockin’ NYE Party. The Domain location will have a DJ and $25 champagne bottles with a $10 cover after 9 p.m. 

Candi Pop | The Parish | $15
A Candi Pop Dance Party littered with all of your guilty pleasures. Glitter, lollipops, rainbows, unicorns… and, oh yeah, girl power! Enjoy tunes all night from artists like the Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, and so many more!

Crawl Till the Ball Falls | Multiple Venues | $19
Barcrawlerz is an Austin Bar Crawl like no other. Crawl Till the Ball Falls features the best drink specials and the best bars in town. Check back 24 hours prior to bar crawl for map with participating bars and exact drink specials.

All LIT up | Lit Lounge | $22
Partygoers can enjoy all access to everything that 6th Street has to offer, including the view of the ball drop on their giant projection wall. Also enjoy a FREE champagne toast at midnight. Currently, ladies can register for free tickets on Eventbrite, but for all others, the price starts at $20, plus a fee of $2.44.

Glitter and Glam New Year’s Eve Party | The Venue ATX | $23
You are invited to kick off a dazzling new year under the stars!
Spend the evening lighting up the dance floor and join in a toast as you count down to 2020. GA presale is $20 or $35 at the door. VIP presale is $100 or $135 at the door. All ticket purchases include a token for the champagne toast at midnight. Party favors included for the first 50 general admission guests to arrive. VIP Tickets include exclusive access to our 2nd floor Sky Deck, Sky Bar and private restrooms, skip the line pass, party favors, bottomless select cocktail specials. Tented and Heated.

New Years Eve Video Dance Party | Alamo Draft House (South Lamar) | $25
Don’t blow your paycheck on bottle service. Don’t grit your teeth through lame club music. At The Alamo’s New Year’s Eve Video Dance Party, they’ll deliver drinks all night long as DJs queue up some of your favorite music videos from across the decades. It’s the VIP experience without the VIP price.

Silent Disco at the Domain | The Brass Tap | $33
Ring in 2020 with us at The Brass Tap Domain. From 9:45 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. Quiet Events will be showcasing three of its top DJs spinning three different genres of music streaming through colored LED, wireless headsets for the ultimate New Year’s Eve Silent Disco experience. Admission includes: Silent Disco, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight.

The End of the Tens |The Highball | $40
Say goodbye to 2019 and to the 2010’s at large with a laser-lit, confetti-filled, champagne-flavored dance party extravaganza with a full casino. GA tickets are $40 but for $200 you can upgrade to a booth that seats four.

Back to the Food Truck: NYE | Sour Duck | $40
Sour Duck Market is heading Back to the Food Truck and ringing in a new decade with a retrofuture themed New Year’s Eve party, beginning at 6 p.m. For one night only, guests can enjoy futuristic favorites cooked and served out of the Sour Duck smoker. Tickets are $40 at the door and include entry, bites throughout the evening and a complimentary midnight toast. Children under 8 years old enter free before 8 p.m. Bartenders will be serving favorites from the full list of draft cocktails alongside a special batch of Dolorian punch. A separate Champagne station will keep the bubbles flowing well into the new year. Come hungry! Robots are rumored to be serving passed bites of family friendly favorites including goat barbacoa tacos, pizzas from the future, mini burgers, tots, sweet potato, and pretzels. DJ Supafly will be spinning bumpin’ beats from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Beep beep! All hoverboard parking is free of charge.

Austin NYE Bar Crawl | Multiple Venues | $44
Your wristband gets you into the following bars on 6th Street: Buckwild, Buckshot, Chuggin Monkey, Dizzy Rooster, and Maggie Maes. More to be added. Your ticket also includes drink tickets, champagne toast, appetizer buffet, drink and food specials.

Austin Furry Burlesque New Years Eve | Stubb’s Bar-B-Q | $45.75
There will be drag, fursuit dancers, and DJs spinning throughout the night. Performers include Genna Cyde, Ruby Nevalance, Quiotex, Captain, Ruuquo, Ty, and more! All ages allowed.

1959! In Dreams | Hotel Vegas & The Volstead | $54
Celebrate 1959 with Hotel Vegas and all that made 1959 so great. With bands covering Elvis, Johnny Cash, and more. Admission with fees is about $54.

New Year’s Eve Events From $50 to $100

The Roosevelt Room’s Roaring 20s NYE Party | The Roosevelt | $55
Ring in 2020 at The Roosevelt Room’s annual Roaring 20s New Year’s Eve Party! This year is a special one, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of one of the most unique decades in history. Indulge in classic cocktails first crafted in the 1920s while listening to the upbeat Electro-swing of DJ Phauxkis. And of course, they’ll be showing the Ball Drop at Midnight on our projector above the bar! The Required Attire that evening is semi-formal to formal, with vintage touches being a plus. They kindly request no flip flops/sandals, tank tops, baggy clothing, jeans, T-shirts, baseball caps, and tennis shoes. Encouraged attire is cocktail dresses and skirts (flapper-style if you wish), suits (seersuckers even better), button-down shirts, fedoras/trilbys/cocktail hats if you’d like, and dress shoes/heels.

Alice in Wonderland NYE Bash | The Four Seasons | $55
Don’t be late for this very important date, themed around the mind-bending fun of Alice in Wonderland. The event features live music by Soul’d Out, a balloon drop, passed hors d’oeuvres, and complimentary champagne toast at midnight, among other surprises. Individual tickets are available at the door for $55 per person.

Speakeasy’s Legendary NYE Bash | Speakeasy | $56
Complete your grand entrance into the New Year with a countdown to midnight and a complimentary champagne toast. Don’t forget the multiple balloon drops and party favors, including festive hats, noisemakers, and more! Buy your pre-sale tickets for general admission for around $56 with fees. Or you can upgrade to a ticket that guarantees a seat reservation or VIP.

June’s Bollywood New Year’s Eve | Junes All Day | $75
Join June’s as they bring back their Bollywood-style New Year’s Eve at June’s All Day, with even more frills and thrills! In addition to the elevated Pub Night three course prix-fixe, they’ll have belly dancers and Bollywood dance tunes. Plus, they’ll be pouring magnums all night for a celebratory wine upgrade.

New Year’s Eve Events Over $100

New Year’s Eve 2020 | The Eberly | $106
The Eberly invites you to their reincarnation of Studio 54. End 2019 with a bang and ring in the new year in a far out way. This year’s event starts at 8 p.m. with live performances including an aerialist with jaw dropping acts, roller skating 70’s dance numbers, and many more. Complimentary themed food curated by Executive Chef Jo Chan and fun, creative desserts provided by our Pastry Chef Sarah Seghi.

Out of this World | Native Hostel | $108
Strap on your moonboots, cosmonauts. Next Stop: SPACE. This New Year’s Eve party is seriously out there. DJ dance party all night, open bar, aerial performers, free goodies, rad vendors, and creatures from all over. All galaxies welcome. GA admission for $108 with fees. VIP tickets available for around $182.

Let Them Eat Cake | W Austin | $108 and Up
Marie Antoinette was known for lavish events, posh parties, and extravagant galas. Blurring the lines between high-society and uncouth thrills, her reign evoked what was new on the French scene with an untethered expectation for the unconventional. At W, they’re bringing you full glam spectacle as you countdown to a new year, and a new decade. Keep It Quiet | Fair Market | $150
This party has everything. We’re talking open bar, unlimited pizza from Austin’s Salvation Pizza, tunes from renowned DJ Buck Rodgers and DJ Ferno, and all kinds of Instagrammable activations and photo ops.
VIP tickets take the night up a notch, offering a designated lounge, exclusive craft cocktail and champagne bar, dedicated pizza bar, and additional VIP swag ($230 each). 

Black and White NYE Electric Ball | Fairmont | $168
The Black & White Ball has historically been a lavish party featuring formal black and white attire.  Formal trendy attire required (black and white masquerade themed attire encouraged). Multiple fully stocked bars with refreshing complimentary cocktails. And the best part about this event might be that they have parents covered. NYE at P6 | The Line Hotel | $199
The elevated experience you need to end your decade right. Join The Line for fireworks, a robust open bar, an abundance of antipasti, cheeses, charcuterie, and desserts from Executive Chef Justin Ermini.

Gatsby’s House | The Omni | $214
Five hour prepaid bar, four areas to mingle, three top rated Texas DJs, two floors of fun, and one amazing countdown. A Very Austin NYE | Austin Central Library | $290
Named TIME Magazine’s 2018 World’s 100 Greatest Places, the Austin Central Library is a unique and great way to ring in the new decade. With a performance from White Denim, DJ sets throughout the night, food from your favorite Austin restaurants, and a full open bar – the night is guaranteed to be memorable. Early bird tickets are sold out and though the listed ticket price is $250, with fees it actually comes out to be about $290.

And ring in the New Year in the Hotel San José courtyard from 8 pm – Midnight. Enjoy tunes by DJ Mija, a champagne tower and good times.

Lion’s, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My | Whisler’s
Whisler’s is hosting their annual New Year’s Eve bash! DJ Jeff Strange will be returning to play a legendary, all vinyl set from 10pm to 2am. The new winter menu will be up and ready for grabs. You better make sure to stay for the champagne toast at midnight.

Roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve Celebration | Ego’s
Join New Year’s Eve for Ego’s Roaring 20’s celebration! Dress in your finest Gatsby era duds and help ring in 2020 the Ego’s way with karaoke from 9 p.m. until 2 .a.m and a free champagne toast at midnight.

NYE Soul Shindig | Drinks Lounge
Drinks Lounge presents our 5th New Year’s Eve Soul Shindig. Ring in 2020 in fine style with The Big Beat’s Topper James & DJ Sergio Delgado! Dress up and shake it on down to the finest selection of 6Ts Club Soul, Northern, Motown, & Funk on original black vinyl. No cover. Private booths with champagne are available for $125. NYE Backyard Bash | Upstairs at Caroline
Ring in 2020 in the heart of downtown Austin at Upstairs at Caroline’s FREE Backyard Bash! Grab your crew and join from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. as you sip champagne, dance the night away to tunes spun by DJ ALEX, hop in the photo booth, play yard games, and say “see ya later!” to 2019! NYE 2020 50 Decades of Tunes | Spider House Ballroom
Celebrate the end of another decade with Spider House Ballroom. Every 30 minutes they will be playing songs from a different decade starting from the 70’s and making the way to the last 10 years. The best part about this party is it’s FREE! Dress as your favorite decade! Doors open at 9 p.m.

Roaring 20s NYE | The Gibson
Dress to impress or dress in style! Champagne specials, DJ & specialty cocktails. The bar will open at 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve! Though GA admission is free, there are upgrade options: for $150 guests can reserve a booth for up to six people, for $75 guests can reserve outside tables for up to four people, and for $50 guests can reserve an inside table for two. There will be a champagne toast at midnight and reservations over $100 will get a complimentary bottle of champagne.
