In case you missed it, Robert Rodriguez took to Twitter earlier this week to announce that he’s directing a season two episode of “The Mandalorian.” Rodriguez is best known as the director of hit films like Sin City, Spy Kids, From Dusk Till Dawn, among a slew of others.

Though he’s directed and produced many action and sci-fi type thrillers, this will be his first foray into the world of Star Wars.

Here’s what he posted to announce the big news on Star Wars Day.

I don’t know about you but I’m hella jealous about that picture with Baby Yoda.

Did you know Rodriguez shoots many of his films right here in Austin at Troublemaker Studios? He shares the space with Austin Studios at the former airport at Mueller.

And here’s another fun fact about Rodriguez. He owns the house from Blank Check! Yep, that’s right. Robert Rodriguez is the owner of Pemberton Castle. No word on whether there’s a giant water slide connected to the house.

“The Mandalorian” season two is currently set to premiere in October.
