Riders Against the Storm is one of Austin’s favorite bands. Known for their colorful blend of hip hop, dance, and soul, husband and wife team Chaka and Qi Dada have a proven combination on their hands, winning Band of the Year at the Austin Music Awards three years in a row.
For a taste of why we love them so much, don’t miss Riders Against the Storm’s third annual RAS Day Festival, a family-focused event that seeks to cultivate community and unity through music, food, and fun group activities, on August 27th at Kenny Dorham’s Backyard.
Meanwhile, the group is also preparing a new record, ‘Cornerstone,’ after a successful Indiegogo campaign raised over $7,000 dollars for production costs.
Even though the campaign is over, if you donate $20-$80 dollars to the band on Indiegogo, you will receive either two or four early-bird tickets to RAS Day.
RAS Day is a wonderful way to support and give back to your local community, so come on out and have some fun!
