Old Settlers Park is an amazing 645-acre park located just north of Austin in Round Rock. Considered to be the crown jewel in Round Rock’s park system, the expansive park is a wonderful recreational and sports destination for families.
Trails: The park offers 3.3 miles of paved trails which cross the lake and connect several of the park’s key features including the Dell Diamond.

Recreation: The park offers a number of recreational options for families including a 3-acre festival area including shade trees, water, and electric hook-ups, two pavilions which are available for rental, a regulation remote control airplane take-off and landing strip, fishing in Bright Lake, over 40 picnic areas with barbecue grills, horseshoes, and 7 playgrounds. A playground is located at each baseball complex and the softball complex. There are two playgrounds located outside of the sport complexes next to the both the Lakeview and Virg Rabb pavilions.
During the summer months, Rock ‘N River Aquatic Center (a 40,481-square-foot water park, complete with a lazy river, crazy slides and a water playground) is a favorite destination for families.
Sports: Old Settlers Park is a well known destination for youth and amateur sports leagues. It features an 18-hole professionally designed disc golf course, a regulation cricket field with practice batting cages, two football fields, seven soccer fields, twelve tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, twenty baseball fields, and five softball fields. There is also a tennis pro shop available.
Old Settlers Park is a wonderful resource for families in and around the Austin and Round Rock areas. It offers a nearly limitless amount of opportunities to participate in sporting events, enjoy recreational activities, spend time on the playground, walk the trails, or to just relax outdoors.
