Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to get out those credit cards, checkbooks, bitcoin logins (just kidding) or whatever else you got and get really, really generous with you Central Texas charities. Amplify Austin, that time of year when your donation to local nonprofits gets multiplied by a combination of generous supporters, is upon us.
For 24 hours, your donation to any of more than 700 charities can be amplified through matches by sponsors, grand prize matches, and hourly boosts.
The 2016 campaign saw donors raise more than $8.5 million for more than 600 nonprofits. Now in its fifth year, the 2017 goal for Amplify Austin is to raise over $9 million for over 700 different organizations. Don’t have a favorite nonprofit that you already plan to donate to?
