El Mundo Newspaper has teamed up with nine health care companies and Elgin ISD to present a Health Rodeo! Head to Elgin High School on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 12 to 3 p.m., for an information fair with lots of free family fun!
Health Rodeo will offer:
- Health screenings for adults (Glucose & Blood Pressure)
- Meningitis shots for students
- Vision screening for kids
- Sign up to receive Mammogram screening
- Legal consultation with bilingual attorneys about immigration, family cases, workplace rights, etc.
- Attorney General Child Support Unit will speak to parents about legal rights
- Many organizations providing advice and support for kids
- Support for young mothers
- Giveaways, including booster seats
- Door prizes, including bikes, TVs, toys, tickets for the Thinkery, Austin Aquarium and more
- Entertainment for the whole family with clowns, face painting, petting zoo, pony rides, moonwalks, food etc.
