It’s almost time for Pflugerville’s most pfun event of the year — the 43rd Annual Deutschen Pfest!
The pfestival lasts all weekend and is full of the same fun that you’ve come to expect from the previous 42 years of this beloved event. There’s the parade on Saturday, May 19 at 10:45 a.m., followed by the children’s parade at 11:30 a.m. The 5K Pfun Run is on Sunday, May 20 at 8 a.m., followed by the untimed Kid’s K at 9 a.m. Then of course there’s the carnival that runs the entire weekend with $20 unlimited rides (you can’t beat that!), shopping booths, and a special children’s area on Saturday (12 to 6 p.m.) and Sunday (12 to 5 p.m.).
You also can’t beat the price for this festival — just $5 on Friday and Sunday, $7 on Saturday, and children 6 and under are FREE. Those tickets are available at the gate and are cash only, and the best part of that all of the festival proceeds support Pflugerville park projects, which means it goes right back into the community!
There are a few things to keep in mind as you’re planning your weekend at the pfest. There is no on-site parking, so hop on a FREE shuttle! There are also no pets or outside coolers/food and drink allowed. And make sure you have a pfest wristband or shirt on if you’re walking inside the gated areas.
