Austin.com Corner Store Country Run: Promo Code for FREE Registration

Last year, my boys and I ran our very first 5K… in overalls. Dressed in our country best for the inaugural Corner Store Country Run at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, we had so much fun jogging past inflatable pigs and cows, around hay bales, and past mini corn fields. At the end of the race, we were rewarded with a huge Country Fair, serving up free food, drinks, beer, carnival midway games, and live music. Really, it was a fantastic experience. I can’t wait to do it all again.

The Corner Store Country Run will return to Dell Diamond on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. The race costs $40 per adult to participate, unless you are a Free Fun in Austin reader with a special promo code (whoop whoop!). Use the code MARKET2015 to register for FREE! Children under 12 are already free, but be sure to register each child who would like a shirt and race number!

The Corner Store Country Run is a down-home family fun run that will bring out your inner cowpoke or cowgirl. Come dressed in over-the-top country attire and stick around for the Country Fair!

What is included with registration?

Participants will receive a free t-shirt, ball cap, backpack, blue finisher ribbon, bandana, two free beer tickets per adult, free admission to the Country Fair, free food, swag, face painting and carnival games. Seriously. It’s a whole lot of free.

The 2015 run is presented by Aquafina and net proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, the world’s largest donor and volunteer-supported mentoring network, as well as local children’s charities. Last year, the 2014 Corner Store Country Run raised a net total of $1 million for Big Brothers Big Sisters in the U.S. and Canada, as well as local children’s charities in each of the eight race markets.

Round Rock race details:

5K race begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
Pick up packet at Dell Diamond on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or on race day starting at 7 a.m.
Bring ID to the race and packet pick-up.
Course is stroller-friendly.
No dogs allowed.

Early morning runs in Old Settlers Park come with gorgeous scenery!

Wondering about bringing littles to the race? All ages are welcome and the course is stroller-friendly, but if you’d prefer to entertain small children at the free, family-friendly country fair, it will be open for the duration of the race!

More about the Country Fair:

The Country Fair will feature sponsor booths, a beer garden, food, live music and giveaways. The fair area will also include children’s activities such as face painting and balloon twisting and will be open for the duration of the race. Everything at the country fair will be FREE to all registrants, including food, carnival games, giveaways and the beer garden. The beer garden will require ID and wristband access.
