Looking to spend some quality time with your furry friend this March? Or perhaps you wish to be surrounded by dogs, cats, and even goats? Well, here you go. We’ve rounded up the best pet friendly events happening in Austin all month long.

Doggy 4K and Play Day (Round Rock)
Saturday, March 2 | from 9 to 11 a.m. | Cat Hollow Park, 8600 O’Connor Dr., Round Rock,
Celebrate your faithful friend at an event designed just for them! The day starts with a non-competitive 4K with all dogs kept on leash. Then the Play Day begins with dog-friendly activities like the “Bone Bar”, Obstacle Course, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Vendors and Toys! Prizes for best dressed, owner look alike, and best trick. All dogs must be on leash.  8:30 a.m. – Register for the 4K ($5 fee). 9 a.m. – 4K begins with all dogs on leash. 9:30 to 11 a.m. – FREE Doggy games & activities.

Baby Goat Cuddling and Tour at Pure Luck Dairy (Dripping Springs)
Saturday, March 2, and Sunday March 3 | from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Pure Luck Dairy, 3000 Martin Rd., Dripping Springs
Join for a Hill Country farm experience! Have you ever wanted to cuddle a baby goat, or discover what life is like on Pure Luck Dairy? Head to the dairy for a tour where you can play with the baby goats, cuddle them and offer them a bottle! These family friendly tours last approximately 1 & ½ hours. Tickets are $22 for adults and $12 for children 15 and under (All children must be accompanied by an adult).

Scholz Garten’s Texas Independence Day Celebration
Saturday, March 2 | from 12 to 5 p.m. | Scholz Garten, 1607 San Jacinto Blvd
Scholz Garten is thrilled to host a Texas Independence Day celebration. The event will include beer specials and feature live music in their spacious biergarten from local acts such as: 12 p.m. – Lonestar Lizzie & the Shotgun Wedding Band 1:00 p.m. – Wild Game 2:00 p.m. – JD Clark & the Stuck . in the Mud Band 3 p,m.- The Bluebonnets 4 p.m. – The Differentials. The event is free to attend and is dog and family friendly.

Arizona State Puppy Pub Crawl
Saturday, March 2 | from 12:30 to 5 p.m. | Bangers Sausage House, 79 Rainey St.
Around the country, all Arizona State Alumni Association chapters hold an ASU Cares event every March to give back to the community. The Austin Chapter has put on Puppy Pub Crawl for the past 3 years and they hope to have a great turn out again!l They would love for all the PAC 12 alumni and friends to join them! A $15 donation is suggested to get a wristband for drink specials to the participating bars. All donations will come back to help the animals at the Austin Humane Society!

The 4th Annual Mardi Gras Dog Parade
Saturday, March 2 | from 2 to 7 p.m. | The ABGB, 1305 Oltorf St. W.
Laissez les bon temps roulez! All pups that come in costume will be eligible for our best dressed contest! Judges will be walking around all day so come dressed to impress and don’t forget to “bark for beads!” This year’s event will be raising funds and awareness for the super cool folks of Pug Rescue Austin! They will be onsite collecting donations! And, get this, they will also have adoptable pugs here! Adopt one, and you’ll totally be ready to let the good times roll! The Doggie Mardi Gras Parade starts at 4 p.m. All dogs and people are eligible to participate!  The parade will take place in The ABGB parking lot, making one big, fun lap following a Second Line marching band.

Krause’s Cafe and Biergarten Presents Dachshund Races (New Braunfels)
Sunday, March 3 | at 4 p.m. | Krause’s Cafe, 148 S. Castell Ave., New Braunfels
Krause’s Cafe and Biergarten welcomes dachshunds to race their way to the finish line on the turf patio. All friendly dogs are welcome; attendees from New Braunfels and beyond can bring their pups to the races to partake in a little friendly competition. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will be invited back to participate the “Dasch for the Cash” where prizes will be awarded to 2019’s Speediest Weenie. Krause’s will also be accepting food and supply donations for the Humane Society of New Braunfels. Event is free.

Cat Video Fest
Sunday, March 10 | at 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. | Sky Cinemas, 13201 U.S. Hwy. 290 
CatVideoFest is a compilation reel of the latest and best cat videos culled from countless hours of unique submissions and sourced animations, music videos, and, of course, classic internet powerhouses. CatVideoFest is a joyous communal experience, only available in theaters, and raises money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities, animal welfare organizations, and shelters to best serve cats in the area. Prices range from $8.50 to $10.50.

Cocktails and Cuddles: Happy Hour with Baby Goats (Manor)
Friday, March 15 | from 6 to 8 p.m. | Bee Tree Farm, 8317 Burleson Manor Rd., Manor
Relax after a crazy work week with a pile of Bee Tree babies and your favorite beverage. Although this event is BYOB (they will provide bottle openers and cups), your ticket will include a few light refreshments (cheese! crackers! fruit!), and ample opportunity to bottle feed and snuggle the baby goats. Folks are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and relax on the lawn while the babies use you as a pillow (or jungle gym. Just depends). Baby goats are scientifically proven to remedy road rage and depression from endless hours in a cubicle, so don’t miss your chance to snag a little after work therapy! You in?

Free Goat Yoga (Georgetown)
Saturday, March 16 | from 6 to 8 p.m. | A Shot of Texas Ranch, 201 Cobb Creek Rd., Georgetown
Join some adorable little goats at the beautiful – A Shot of Texas Ranch – in Georgetown TX, for a morning of yoga, goats, and BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS! SWAG Hip Hop YOGA will be doing their signature Hip Hop Yoga, just a tad slower, but ALL THE FUN! No yoga or goat experience required. This is a free event but you must RSVP using the ticket link and bring your own yoga mat.

SXSW Puppy Party

Lovers of all kinds unite under one WOOF for the ultimate Puppy Party! PrideBites, Bumble and Tito’s Handmade Vodka are coming together to throw the ultimate DOG FRIENDLY bash benefiting Austin Pets Alive! Bring your well behaved leashed dog(s) down and celebrate! Feel free to dress your dog up in green 🙂 **Must be 21 and up to attend** Doggy photo booths, St. Patrick Day surprises, awesome drawings and more! Complimentary doggie snack samples from Austin based Grocery Pup. Most importantly, this event will also be full of adoptable dogs from Austin Pets Alive! Mighty Texas Dog Walk 
Saturday, March 23 | from 8 to 11:30 a.m. | Austin American Statesman, 305 S. Congress Ave.
The Mighty Texas Dog Walk is Service Dogs, Inc.’s largest fundraiser of the year to help continue to provide Service Dogs and training free of charge. Enjoy food from vendors and music on the stage as you celebrate the 20th annual Mighty Texas Dog Walk, High School Reunion and Service Dogs, Inc.

 

Yoga at the Austin Zoo
Saturday, March 30 | at 10 and 11:30 a.m. | Austin Zoo, 10808 Rawhide Trl.
Join for a beginner-friendly, all-ages yoga class at the Austin Zoo! A Peaceful Warrior Yoga Studio instructor will lead you through an hour long class. The class will be held on the deck overlooking the bear enclosure, surrounded by beautiful peacocks! Admission is included in the ticket price! Bring a picnic and enjoy the afternoon at the zoo! All Proceeds will benefit the rescue efforts at the zoo! Donation: $25. Yoga sessions will be held rain or shine. Parking is free of charge.

4th Annual Buda Pets Pub Crawl (Buda)
Saturday, March 30 | from 2 to 5 p.m. | Two Wheel Brewery, 535 S Loop 4, Buda
Tickets can be purchased online until noon Monday March 25th to receive an event T-shirt. Tickets may also be purchased at the event! Extra T-shirts available for $10 donation while they last! Registration is at Two Wheel Brewery 535 S Loop 4 in Buda from 1:45 to 3 p.m.! The planned “itinerary” is check in and enjoy first beer at Two Wheel Brewery second beer at Nate’s, third at Super Slick’s, then your fourth beer (and more ?) at the end of crawl celebration will be held at Main Street Pizzaria! ALL PROCEEDS benefit Holly’s Hope Animal Rescue which is non profit and 100% of funds go towards rescuing animals!
Although tickets purchased March 25-30 DO NOT include shirts (only 4 beer tickets), they will order extra t-shirts that will be available for a $10 donation when you check-in at the event (while they last).

Bow Wow Film Festival
Saturday, March 30 | from 7 to 9 p.m. |Blue Starlite Mini Urban Drive In, 2103 E M. Franklin Ave.
Join for the 4th annual Bow Wow Film Festival to celebrate our beloved canine companions!  All ticket proceeds will benefit the marvelous work of Austin Pets Alive!. Bring your chairs and blankets because this event will be held in the new Forest viewing area at Blue Starlite Drive In! It is a walk-in area; you cannot take your car but you can bring your pup! Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.  Doors open at 7 pm and movies will start at 8 pm! Get tickets and find tour dates here!
