There are both walk-through and drive-through live nativity presentations happening in Austin and beyond. Be sure to follow the links to check for weather updates before heading out.

Follow The Star (Cedar Park) – December 4-6 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. Follow The Star is a living outdoor pageant featuring ten elaborate scenes recounting the life of Jesus. Visitors are invited to stroll along a walkway or stay in their cars to drive through this spectacular musical and visual production. Admission is FREE, but please bring a donation of nonperishable food items to help those in need. Visit the Facebook page for weather updates. Bethlehem Village (Georgetown) – December 5 from 6-9:00 p.m. and December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. When you walk through the gates of Bethlehem Village you hear and see a story being told. It is the story of Jesus, about how there was no room at the inn so this baby had to be born in the manger. Telling the story of Jesus’ birth at Bethlehem is a powerful experience that draws participants back year after year. One Starry Night (Leander) – December 5 from 6-8:00 p.m. and December 6 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. This Christmas, put all the holiday shopping aside and witness the true meaning of Christmas for yourself. This is an exciting, multi-sensory event for children and their families that will take them back into time to the first Christmas. See Bethlehem for yourself and experience the miracle of Jesus’ birth. Kids interact with shepherds, townspeople, and others as they make Christmas related crafts and participate in other activities. Main Street Bethlehem (Burnet) – December 5-7 and 12-14 from 6-9:00 p.m. Main Street Bethlehem is a unique, interactive, outdoor production that will immerse visitors to Burnet in small town Bethlehem life, as it was at the time of Jesus’ birth. Guests will also receive complimentary hot chocolate, coffee, and cookies at the exit. FREE but donations are accepted. Bethlehem will close if it is raining. Living Story of Christmas (Johnson City) – December 5-6 and 12-13 from 6-8:30 p.m. There will be five FREE shows per night, running on the hour and half hour. Each show lasts about 10 minutes. Children are welcome to pet the animals after each show. In the Church Activity Center there will be a large display of nativity scenes, FREE cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee. Miracle of Jesus: A Christmas Event for Families (RSVP) – December 6 from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Join in an unforgettable family experience this Christmas as you learn about Jesus’ miraculous birth and life. Step back in time to Bible-times Bethlehem, exploring Jesus’ miraculous love in an interactive marketplace setting–complete with experiences you’ll remember and keepsake crafts you’ll treasure. This experience is an adventure for the whole family and will help you discover more about Jesus in a way you’ll never forget. Live Nativity (Elgin) – December 6 at 6:30 p.m. Performed by St. Peter’s Lutheran Church as party of Elgin’s Holiday by the Tracks celebration. FREE! Veterans Memorial Park, 109 Depot St, Elgin.

Luminary (Pflugerville) – December 6-7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. FREE drive-through nativity. Check Facebook for weather updates. Immanuel Lutheran Church, 500 Immanuel Rd, Pflugerville.

Live Nativity Celebration – December 12-13, from 6-8:00 p.m. Travel back in time to that night 2000 years ago when a tiny baby was born in a manger. Sit back with hot cocoa and witness the scripture story brought to life by Bethany families. There will be six continuous 20-minute presentations each night. A goat petting area will be available for you and your children to enjoy. Bring a non-perishable food or toiletry offering for Hill Country Community Ministries. FREE! Living Nativity – December 12-14 at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy this presentation of the Biblical account of the birth of Jesus Christ while enjoying a FREE cup of hot chocolate and a petting zoo. FREE! Park Hills Baptist Church Hillside Theater, 900 S Mopac Expressway, Austin.

Pilgrimage to Bethlehem (Taylor) – December 13-14 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Live nativity with FREE tours every 20 minutes. Immanuel Lutheran Church, 411 CR 401, Taylor.

A Night in Bethlehem (Kyle) – December 13-14 from 6-8:30 p.m. After your walk through Jesus’ Bethlehem, visit “modern” Bethlehem to make a craft, drink hot chocolate, and eat cookies as you enjoy live Christmas music and performances. FREE! Fellowship Church at Plum Creek, 160 Grace St, Kyle.


Christmas Nativity Performance – December 14 at 6:30 p.m. Presented by the Youth Group. Cookies, coffee, and hot cocoa will be served after the show. FREE! Friendship Creekside Fellowship, 14455 FM 1826, Austin.

HIStory – December 18-21, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. His-Story is a live presentation that tells the full story of the life and purpose of Christ. A cast of local volunteers, live animals, and multimedia come together to create a powerful message that considers what Christmas is really about. FREE! Mission: Possible! Live Nativity – December 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. Live nativity and petting zoo. FREE! Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 10408 Hwy 290 West, Austin.

Trail of Life Gospel Presentation – December 19-21 from 7-9:00 p.m. Tours start every 20 minutes. Visitors follow a tour guide through a beautifully lit, outdoor trail where they will see and hear actors “living” out important scenes from the life of Christ: his birth, death, and resurrection. Living Nativity & Petting Zoo – December 20 from 5-8:00 p.m. A replica of the stable and animals surround the Holy family. The Sanctuary will be open for all to enjoy its historic splendor. Refreshments will be served. FREE! Decker UMC, 8304 Decker Ln, Austin.
