Animation by Mike Judge is returning to your TV!
20 years after that joyous ode to Texas, “King of the Hill,” premiered, a new animated country music themed show from Judge has been greenlighted by Cinemax.
The half hour series “Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus” has been given an eight-episode series order with a premiere date happening sometime later this year. The project is currently in production.
Here’s hoping the Austinite gives us a little preview of it at SXSW.
According to Deadline, the series chronicles the tales of some of country music’s most eccentric characters. No word on whether those characters are real or fictional.
Judge is also co-creator of “Silicon Valley” which is heading into its fourth
season on HBO.
