Goodbye weekend and hello to another high temperature week! With more 100 degree days in our future, there are FREE ways to keep cool all around Austin.

This list contains a mix of family-friendly and adult focused Austin events.

Camp Bluebonnet
Monday, June 13th | From 1 to 2:30 p.m. | Windsor Park Branch, 5833 Westminster Drive

The Austin Public Library Windsor Park Branch is celebrating the Texas Bluebonnet Award by reading books from this year’s list! Remember you’ve got to read 5 to decide and after attending these programs you’ll be well on your way to be qualified to vote next school year!

Silent Book Club
Monday, June 13th | From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. | Cosmic Coffee,121 Pickle Road

There are no assigned readings, no discussion questions to prepare for- just a comfortable place to relax among other book lovers for the night. We will however share what we’re reading and welcome you to do the same. 

Blues on the Green
Tuesday, June 14th | From 7 to 11 p.m. | Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Road

Blues on the green is back! On the 14th enjoy music by Sir Woman, Zach Person and Sneaky Peaches and the Fuzz. Then head back out to Zilker Park the day after on June 15th for our Grupo Fantasma revue style show.

Late at the Lake

Grab your friends and get ready for a great night at Mozart’s listening to music! Poets, comedians, musicians, & singers gather for one night at Austin’s most beautiful outdoor venue. Active podcast recording every show.

Art in Nature
Wednesday, June 15th | From 11 to 12:30 p.m. | Willie Mae Kirk Branch, 3101 Oak Springs Drive

Elementary aged kids and their families will enjoy learning about nature and then create art to reflect what they learned.

Teen Videogaming Freeplay
Wednesday, June 15th | From 12 to 2 p.m. | Austin Central Library, 710 West Cesar Chavez Street

Teens 13-18 – come play! Enjoy snacks and play titles from the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch! And don’t forget our Alienware gaming computers, always available and pre-loaded with games.

The Drop-In
Thursday, June 16th | From 8 to 10 p.m. | Hartman Concert Lawn, 701 West Riverside Drive

We’ll provide the tunes, the drinks, and the view. You bring the energy, and we’ll vibe all summer long on the Hartman Concert Lawn.

Movie Night @ Moxy Austin

Dirty Dancing this week at Moxy Austin! They’ll give you free popcorn; you just have to BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair)!

Live Music on the Central Plaza Lawn

Bring your family, friends, and a blanket to lounge on the lawn. Don’t forget to grab a bite at one of Hill Country Galleria restaurants! This event is free admission, family-friendly, and weather permitting.

Driftwood Nights Songwriter’s Series
