The 10 Most Delivered Restaurants In Austin, According To Postmates

Postmates, a national food delivery service which operates in 24 states and Washington D.C., recently handed Austin.com a super secret packet of data that holds the secrets to what Austinites love to eat.

Specifically, they have outlined in detail the restaurants Austinites most crave, at least for delivery purposes. While the list has some local staples, we also have a soft spot for a few national chains as well.

Check out the list below.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar

First up, is one of Austin’s most mouthwatering burger joints, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, located on South Congress, West Anderson, and South Lamar. Cooking delicious burgers on to-die-for buns is what the restaurant does best, so it is no surprise that the restaurant is at the top of Postmates’ most-delivered restaurant list for Austin. Check out one of their juicy burgers below.

Fat Sal’s

Making gourmet sandwiches that you won’t be able to find anywhere else, Fat Sals has done incredibly well in Southern California with four locations throughout the region. Wanting to give their amazing sandwiches some visibility outside of the West Coast, Fat Sal’s decided to open a location in Austin on Guadalupe Street, the only location outside of California. When you want one of their killer sandwiches but don’t want to get off the couch, Postmates can take care of your craving in no time.

Home Slice

Known as one of Austin’s best pizza restaurants after opening in 2005, Home Slice serves New York style pizza by the slice. On their website, they make it clear that they do not deliver, so that’s where Postmates comes in to save the day. When you want some local flavor but don’t want to sit in traffic, Postmates solves your problem.

With everything from burgers, chicken, to deserts, Chick-Fil-A has definitely got you covered when it comes to satisfying your hunger.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

In the past few years, Chipotle Mexican Grill has risen above fast food giants such as McDonalds, as they have become known for their fresh and healthy meat bowls and vegetarian options. While the company did have a health scare earlier this year, the national chain has come up with a summer rewards program for its most loyal customers, bringing the fast food Mexican chain back to prominence.

P-Terry’s Burger Stand

After reading the famous tell-all fast food book Fast Food Nation, Austinites Patrick and Kathy Terry opened the first P Terry’s with a mission to serve healthy food in a fast environment in 2005. With juicy burgers and fries made from real potatoes, who can’t resist the urge to dive into one of these delicious burgers? With Postmates, you can get food delivered any time of day, so order some great food now.

Whataburger

Getting its start in 1950 with Corpus Christi entrepreneur Harmon Dobson, Whataburger has become a Texas staple when it comes to fast food burgers. Wanting to have customers be satisfied with a burger they would need to hold with two hands, the chain is a popular place in Austin for a quick meal.

Torchy’s Tacos

With the tagline “a taco for every appetite,” local taco chain Torchys Tacos truly has the right taco for every customer. From the explosive Brushfire to the addicting Democrat tacos, there is no better taco restaurant in town than Torchy’s. If you’re looking for simplicity, you can’t go wrong with their breakfast taco’s either.

Schlotzsky’s

Opening on South Congress in 1971, Schlotzky’s began with one simple sandwich, grew a loyal following, and then expanded to have locations all over town. While the restaurant has expanded their menu to include everything from sandwiches, salads, to desserts, the local chain has never waned in popularity and still remains a popular place to hit up in Austin.

You can take the sandwich out of Texas, but you'll never take the Texas out of the sandwich.
