Shipt Expands Central Texas Operations — Now Delivers HEB to More Households

Whether you live an excessively busy lifestyle or just really, really hate navigating a grocery cart through crowded aisles, Central Texas residents now have another option to get their groceries from HEB to their homes. Alabama-based Shipt LLC announced this month that they have expanded their relationship with HEB to include a total of nine ZIP codes.

Shipt, a new startup that has been operating for two years, began offering their services this summer with deliveries in Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Pflugerville. This recent expansion will bring their services to Georgetown, Kyle, Buda, Hutto, and parts of Leander. That’s an extra 76,000 that can now have Shipt deliver their produce, salsa, and other necessary groceries straight to their door.

Ordering is done through their app (on both iOS and Android), and perks include all grocery items available, same-day delivery sometime within an hour, and unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35 (items cost slightly more than they do in the store).

In addition to making life easier for customers, this expansion is also opening up more jobs — Shipt is currently hiring shoppers/delivery drivers, adding to their current team of more than 300.

In addition to Shipt, HEB shoppers who want to stay out of the store but are addicted to their spinach dip (seriously, that stuff is so good), can use Instacart and HEB Curbside.
