Ford Holiday River Parade & Lighting Ceremony (San Antonio)
November 29 | from 6 to 9 p.m. | River Walk, San Antonio
The 2019 parade theme is “Texas Music Christmas.” Each float will depict a Texas musician and their Christmas music. This year’s Grand Marshall is Billy Gibbons, one of the finest blues-rock guitarist from Texas and best known for his remarkable playing with ZZ Top. Ticket prices vary.
Chuy’s Children Giving to Children Parade
November 30 | 11 a.m. | State Capitol at 11th and Congress Avenue
Giant inflatable balloons, festive holiday floats, famous children’s characters, spectacular marching bands, cool classic cars, and Santa. Free!
Lighted Christmas Parade (Lockhart)
December 7 | 7 p.m. | Downtown Square, Lockhart
On the first Saturday of December each year the town of Lockhart, Texas is transformed into a Dickens’ style Christmas. A fun time is always had by all who attend this grand annual event at the Dr. Eugene Clark Library and around the Downtown Square. The Dickens Christmas lighted parade is free!
Lake Travis Lighted Boat Parade
December 7 | 6 to 10 p.m. | Crosswater Yacht Club, 1505 Hurst Creek Road
The Annual Lake Travis Lighted Holiday Boat Parade is always the first Saturday of every December. This is a must see or participate if you love boating and the holidays! Parade viewing is free but you can bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Travis County Sheriff’s Brown Santa Program inside the marine center. Crosswater Yacht Club has posted this event as a public event but is not a public marina. There are a few public places to watch the parade go by, Dink Pearson Park is on the north shore and Lakeway Resort and Spa on the south shore. Call Lakeway Resort prior to event to ask about cost associated with their watch party.
Pfestival of Lights and Christmas Parade (Pflugerville)
December 7 | 4 to 7 p.m. | Railroad Avenue and Main Street, Downtown Pflugerville
The Christmas parade begins at 5 p.m. though festive performances run from 4 to 7 p.m. Santa arrives at the tree for photos around 6 p.m.
Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting (Leander)
December 7 | 6 p.m. | City Hall, 200 West Willis Street, Leander
Every first Saturday of December Old Town Leander comes alive to spread Christmas joy throughout the community. This event includes the Old Town Rudolph Run 5k, Leander in Lights Parade, the HEB Snow Globe, activities for the kids, pictures with Santa, local school performances and entertainment, food court, local vendors, and more. Festival runs 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parade is at 6 p.m.
Christmas Stroll (Georgetown)
December 7 | 10 a.m. | Georgetown Square, Georgetown
The 39th Annual Christmas Stroll parade kicks off on Saturday, December 7 at 10 a.m. However, the town of Georgetown hosts two days packed full of Christmas goodness. Visit Bethlehem Village, enjoy live entertainment, sample tempting treats in the food court, and browse over 100 arts and crafts booths! Children will love the various activities and rides. Happening Friday, December 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free admission.
Historic Downtown Lighted Christmas Parade (Bastrop)
December 14 | 6 p.m. | Historic Main Street, Bastrop
Downtown Bastrop’s famous Lost Pines Christmas Lighted Christmas Parade features more than 100 fanciful floats and local participants lighting up Main Street in this joyful tradition. The annual parade is the pinnacle event of a very merry Lost Pines Christmas season. Join family and friends for a full evening of holiday cheer in Historic Downtown Bastrop.
