Want to enjoy a free morning at Rodeo Austin? Sign your child up to participate in the Rodeo Rumble Kid’s 1K Fun Run on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Rodeo Rumble is a free event for children age 12 and under. Held in Travis County Expo Center’s Luedecke Arena, the first Saturday of the Fair and Rodeo, Rodeo Rumble offers kids the chance to race on the dirt where the cowboys and cowgirls will compete each evening. Runners will receive a custom back number for the race and a cowbell and treats (usually Blue Bell ice cream) for finishing the course.
The 2016 Rodeo Rumble will be held on Saturday, March 12th. Check-in opens at 9:00 a.m. and the first heat of runners takes off at 9:30 a.m. Register your child here.
Parking and gate admission to Rodeo Austin is free as long as you arrive before 9 a.m.
After Rodeo Rumble, stick around to explore Rodeo Austin fairgrounds. Kids will enjoy seeing the livestock and checking out the Kidstown petting zoo – all free! Heads up, though: the carnival opens at 11 a.m. on March 12, 2016 (not free).
