Pints 4 Pups: Help Dogs, Get Drunk

Okay, so the name of this Saturday’s “Pints 4 Pups” fundraiser is not to be taken literally, like the guy in the photo above (we didn’t actually feed a dog beer, promise). The event is not about getting dogs drunk on craft beers. That would be horrible, and this isn’t Kentucky.

No, the aim of this event is much more noble than getting your poor pooch plastered. on Saturday, July 12, the Lakeside Pizza Grill, located at 2900 N Quinlan Park Road in Steiner Ranch, is teaming up with some of the state’s finest breweries from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to help raise money for our four-legged pals.

Four different dog rescue organizations will be supported by your purchase of alcoholic beverages. Oasis Texas Brewing CompanyInfamous BrewingAdelbert’s Brewery and Rogness Brewing are all providing their delicious wares to raise money to help the cute widdle puppy wuppies of Austin find homes.

Plus, if you donate $10 you get an event glass and a taste of some of the select beers provided by the aforementioned breweries. On top of that, Lakeside Pizza Grill isn’t just providing space and calling it a day, no sireebob. They will ALSO be donating a portion of their sales that day to the same animal rescues. All you have to do is show up (you can even bring your own dog, provided it’s on a leash), have some beers, enjoy some live music and, if you’re so inclined, adopt another dog while you’re at it. Because, adopting a pet is always a good decision to make after you’ve got two or three pints of premium craft beer inside of you.

The fundraiser supports Austin Boxer Rescue, Wags, Hope and Healing, Austin Pets Alive! and Love-A-bull will all be supported by the fundraiser.
