Nestled on four acres of beautifully landscaped courtyards, Lone Star Court offers outdoor fun, lawn games, complimentary bicycles, fire-pits, an outdoor swimming hole, and more! Lone Star Court is the perfect pairing of modern convenience and traditional comfort in a unique blend of the past and present.
These are a few of our favorite things about Lone Star Court!
The Atmosphere –
The rocking chairs were one of the first things I noticed about Lone Star Court. There’s something so comforting about sitting in a rocking chair. Throw in a beautiful Texas sunset, a local beer, and live music and you’ve got the perfect night. While you can’t hear the music from inside the room (they’re pretty soundproof) you can relax in a rocking chair right outside your door and enjoy the live music no matter where it’s being played on the property. We loved sitting out here nightly during our stay, enjoying the music, the beautifully curated landscaping, and the company, of course.
While it was too hot to sit around the various fire pits on the property, we love the additional cozy lounging option.
The Decor –
It’s all in the details. We totally dig the cozy urban cabin feeling of these rooms. From the barn doors, the muted pops of color, the novelty Smeg fridges, to the Texas homage spread out all around the property, While some hotels may feel uniform, Lone Star keeps it, cozy, charming, and unique. Pictures might be worth a thousand words but a stay at Lone Star Court is just something you’ll have to experience yourself.
The Bedding –
While we loved the overall attention to detail inside the rooms we have to admit our true love might just be the fluffy clouds Lone Star Court calls pillows. The hotel shared the secret behind the magic pillows with us, they’re Sobel – Cairo Cale (300 thread count) pillows! They’re so comfortable they had an insomniac like me getting a full eight hours.
The Pool –
It’s summer in Texas and being near a pool is everyone’s top priority. Lone Star Court doesn’t disappoint in the pool department, especially since it’s surrounded by so much lush greenery. You’ll feel like you’re in a tropical resort, but no passport needed here.
Finding a truly refreshing but not overly sugary pool side drink is actually a rather difficult feat but not here! The Water Through’s mimosa consists of Prosecco, OJ, and Deep Eddy Ruby Red. You’ve got to try this one, it is the perfect pool side drink – It’s great for pictures too!
The On-Site Food Truck –
The hotel has its own restaurant and bar called the Water Through, which is open from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. during the week and 4 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the weekends. While the restaurant has a limited food menu you can also grab a quick bite at The Feed Store, the on-site food truck. (We recommend the carne asada quesadillas!) If you’re looking for more specific food options, The Domain is full of walkable options so you definitely won’t go hungry.
Did we mention they have live music?
Live music is a hot commodity these days! Lone Star Court has live music every Thursday to Saturday night in their courtyard pavilion. It’s just one more thing that adds to the hotels warm vibe. You can find the full music schedule here.
