WonderLab Learners
Do you have an 8- to 12-year-old who’s looking for something to inspire them, challenge their creativity and extend their learning? If so, check out WonderLab, a supplemental learning lab for kids in upper elementary and middle school.

WonderLab is giving away a FREE workshop to one lucky Free Fun in Austin reader (value: $50)!

WonderLab’s mission is to supplement what Learners do in school — whether private, public or homeschool — with hands-on, experiential, Learner-directed projects. Whether your child comes to WonderLab to attend a workshop or for one-on-one Mentor Guiding, they’ll leave inspired!

What’s different about WonderLab? Whereas most after-school learning centers focus on tutoring and test prep that address kids’ deficits, WonderLab identifies kids’ strengths and passions, and pairs them with Mentor Guides to help develop inspired, personalized projects and the lifelong learning skills that kids need to thrive.

The winner of this giveaway can choose the workshop of their child’s choice from the inventor workshop series (the workshop fee will be waived; see upcoming workshops below).

2015 Workshop Series: Invent or Improve It?!

Would you rather invent something entirely new or improve something to make it better? Would you rather be the next Thomas Edison, Leonardo Da Vinci, or Steve Jobs?

Join WonderLab’s inventor workshop series as experienced Mentor Guides explore what makes an inventor tick through selected readings, videos and exhibits. Using the resources located in the lab and throughout the local Austin neighborhood, you will learn all you can about inventing. Then, you’ll put your imagination and problem-solving skills to work, and dive into your own creations…or re-creations!
